The session series will focus on steps to establish an AAPAC. African American families and schools have had a “strained” relationship with schools. Building trust is a major step in creating and sustaining relationships. Working together, the customized AAPAC sessions invite parents, families, and community members to join the conversation regarding data on African American students, and how it relates to your district's community. Impactful, statewide resources such as the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and the California Dashboard will be used to empower participants to increase opportunities for engagement with the School Districts through the development and sustainment of AAPACs.
